Sherrie Ford

Sherrie was born and raised in Chattanooga. She and her husband, Jim, have two children and six grandchildren. Sherrie serves as the president of the Lookout Valley Neighborhood Association to support and give back to her community. She also helps at her church, Lookout Valley Presbyterian, where she and Jim are longtime members and where she serves as a Ruling Elder. Sherrie recently retired from the Hamilton County School system with 35 years of education service in various positions and ended her last eight years as the Assistant to the Board of Education. Sherrie has served as a volunteer for PTA, including the local, county, and state levels. She volunteered with the PTA Teacher Supply Depot for 20 years until it was closed due to lack of space. She is a current volunteer and past president for the Fund for Excellence. Sherrie has spent much of her life in education working to advocate for students, teachers, and parents.
