Charissa Sethman

Charissa began teaching and reading great books with her own children at home in 2009, and accepted her first teaching position in 2014. She has served as classroom instructor and curriculum developer in a variety of classical programs and schools for 7 years. She now serves as Educational Services Coordinator and Manager of the Tutoring Center & Center for Students with Learning Differences at Classical Academic Press’ Scholé Academy. Prior to her work as an educator, Charissa studied Philosophy & Religion, Art, and Spanish at Covenant College, where she also worked for a time as an events planner. Charissa, husband Michael, and their 5 children reside in Chattanooga, TN on their 24-acre urban hobby farm where they grow cut-flowers, host gatherings, play ball, practice various crafts, and add-on to the treehouse continually. Charissa enjoys reading, book-club discussions, design work, sports, and spending time with her family and friends.
